From altering your perspective it can change the angle that you take can give your portrait a different perspective. Looking off camera can show emotions and looking with in the frame can create a relationship between it and the other subject. Breaking the rules of composition can make it powerful if they are dead in the center. Experimenting with lighting can create mood or powerful. Moving your subject out of their comfort zone can be amazing, surprising, and funny. Shooting candidly is doing something they love can create a special shot. Introducing a prop can create another point of interest that enhance a shot. Focusing on a body part will show imagination of the viewer. An obscure part of your subject gives imagination to the body part. Taking series of shots is changing their position or pose in a quick succession.
A candid portrait is a photo captured mostly in action, but its creating a posed appearance. A studio portrait is a photo which the subject is posed. Last a environmental portrait is a portrait that is taken in the subjects appearance.
The photographer I picked was Tim Tadder. He has taken so many photos but I believe that these three photos capture environmental portraits the best of his. He does so many of sport pictures and I think that's why I really like his photos the most. The first photo is showing the guys playing basketball which is where they work. The second photo is showing a man on a regular day and a man at work which the photo is very creative. The last photo is a man working dangerously but back home he has a wife waiting for him.
Describe: This photo in a garden with all kinds of bushes and flowers everywhere. This old lady is laughing and looking away on a bench in the middle of the garden. There is a wooden structure in the background and the bench she is sitting on is wood. The old lady is wearing a blue dress with a purple jacket and sandals.
Analyze: This photo is balancing elements and depth. It has so many elements in front of each other and just overlapping each other. It is also eye level angle with some patterns in the wooden structure. Last the shutter speed is a little fast because it got her laughing in the moment. Interpret: This photo gives me a warm and happy feeling. The picture is so bright with so many colors. The photographer did a wonderful job to capture all these things. His message was probably happiness. Judge: I feel like this was a wonderful picture and it gave me warmth. Just by looking at this picture it reminded me of my grandma and hit my heart. I was happy just to see this picture. These are the reasons why I picked this picture. My vision for 2016 is to show people more about myself. There are pictures of a family and a mother and a silly little girl which represents my love for those people and how my personality is. There is also pictures of place I would like to go again because I have family that live out there. I put a lot of pictures of grades because I always want to strive for better but I am a big procrastinator. Last I have a picture of shoes because I love shoes and a picture of a boxer to wish someone some confidence. I really loved to do this project because it was so fun and I wish people can learn a few things more about me.
This project was to show you how one subject can mean so many things. I picked love, beauty, and utopia. I picked these three topics to show different meanings. It was kind hard to do it but it worked out in the end. My favorite picture was beauty. I took a lot of time on it and it came out good.
First, I picked love because it was something that everybody goes through. The love I used though was friendship. Next, I picked beauty because even a dead flower can still be beautiful. Not just a person can be beautiful it depends on how you look at it. Last, I picked utopia because It was a challenge but it worked out. I picked different shoes to show not one thing is perfect, it can be multiple. |
